  The food was delicious and tasted fresh. The two stars lost however was for the value and the decor. Let me start with the food. All of the dishes were freshly made and the pasta tastes like fresh pasta. Fishes were grilled to perfection and sauces were done very well. The decor however, was a bit old and the ceilings are very low which leads to a very loud atmosphere and you can't dine as comfortably as you could for a restaurant of this price. It felt more like a Chinese dim sum place in terms of how loud it was and how close you were to neighbouring diners. Price was another issue. The food was great but for the price it doesn't seem like it should be that expensive. Most of the pasta dishes are in the mid to high 20s which I thought was a bit too much. Fish dishes should be priced in the late 20s but they were in the 30-40 dollar range. Appetizers were also priced too high for what you got. The bruschetta for example was $6 and came with just 2 slices. So overall the food was great but in terms of value it just wasn't there and part of the expensive price you pay for meals like these should be for the nice decor and environment which was also not there.

  We absolutely love this restaurant! Melanie and Dom, the owners and their family create an atmosphere that is like they are inviting you into their home and the food is spectacular! We have been many times and it is by far, our number one restaurant in the area. Worth every penny spent, every single time....and we've been a few times now! :) Wonderful food, atmosphere and service!

  First time visiting Il Postino and Main Street Unionville. There was nothing I didn't like about the experience. The staff were exceptional, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was fantastic. Our large group ate on the patio and I was amazed at seeing all the foot traffic up and down the street on a Tuesday night. I hope to have the opportunity to return soon.
